Integrated Orthopedic Massage

Integrated orthopedic massage targets the patterns behind your pain — not just the symptoms.

If you spend hours at a desk, you know the feeling: tightness that settles into your neck and shoulders, lower back that aches by noon, wrists that feel older than they are. Standard massage can offer temporary relief. But integrated orthopedic massage goes further — it works with the patterns your body has built up to create lasting change.

What Is Integrated Orthopedic Massage?

Orthopedic massage is a goal-oriented approach that treats tension and pain the way any real problem deserves to be treated: by understanding it first.

Before your session begins, your therapist takes time to assess how your body is moving — where you’re restricted, where you’re compensating, and what’s driving the discomfort you feel. From there, your session is built around your specific needs, drawing from a range of targeted techniques including:

  • Deep tissue massage — releases chronic muscle tension and adhesions that build up over time
  • Myofascial release — addresses the connective tissue that wraps and links your muscles together, restoring how things glide and move
  • Trigger point therapy — works on specific knots that cause pain to radiate into other areas
  • Assisted stretching — restores range of motion and reinforces the hands-on work

The result is a session that’s purposeful from start to finish — not a generic sequence, but a direct response to where your body actually is.

Who Benefits from Integrated Orthopedic Massage?

This approach is a strong fit for anyone dealing with recurring, patterned tension — especially:

Desk Workers and Office Professionals

Hours of sitting add up in ways you don’t notice until you can’t ignore them. Neck and shoulder tension from screen posture, lower back stiffness from hours in a chair, forearm and wrist fatigue from typing — these patterns don’t resolve on their own. Integrated orthopedic massage works directly with what your work demands of your body.

People Recovering from Injury

Whether you’re working through a soft tissue injury, supporting your recovery after surgery, or managing the lingering effects of an accident, this approach addresses compensatory patterns and helps restore normal, pain-free movement.

Active People and Athletes

Training puts real demands on your body. Sports and orthopedic massage helps keep you moving well — addressing overuse patterns before they become injuries, improving mobility, and supporting recovery between sessions.

What to Expect in Your Session

Your first session starts with a conversation. Your therapist will ask about what you’re experiencing, how long it’s been happening, and what makes it better or worse. A brief movement assessment follows — watching how you move provides information that words alone can’t capture.

For new clients, a 30-min consultation is included in the total session time, which will cover movement screening and postural assessment.

From there, the work is hands-on and focused. You’ll feel the difference from a general relaxation massage: the work has a direction. Your therapist may check in during the session, and your feedback is always welcome.

Sessions typically run 60 or 90 minutes. Most people notice a real shift by the end of their first visit — and the benefits build with each session.
